Opened in 2007, the park offers more than 13,000 square feet of space, including a separate area for small dogs. Timothy J. Toomey, Jr. Park

Located in nearby East Cambridge, Timothy J. Toomey, Jr. Park includes a dedicated fenced dog run with a dog-friendly drinking fountain, seating, and shade. The dog run is part of the larger two-acre park rather than a two-acre off-leash area. Visitors should note that Cambridge off-leash spaces require dogs to have a current Cambridge license.

Boston Common Rotating Off-Leash Area

Boston Common includes a designated rotating off-leash area where dogs can enjoy time outside in one of the city's best-known public spaces. The rotating designation means the specific off-leash location can change, so check the current Boston Parks Department information before visiting for the latest location, schedule, and rules.
